Metro 2033 is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world, inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novel of the same name. The game unfolds in Moscow’s underground metro system, where the remnants of humanity have taken shelter from the deadly radiation and mutated creatures on the surface. Players assume the role of Artyom, a young man tasked with a journey through the dangerous metro tunnels and hostile surface in search of allies and a way to save his home station from an impending threat. Combining survival horror and action elements, Metro 2033 immerses players in an atmospheric, tense experience as they face mutated enemies, scarce resources, and haunting environments.
